If Only….

If Only….

If only the rich & powerful, who rule this world of ours, had a heart. If only they could see how we are all truly connected & dependent on one another. If only the special ones could understand that the environmental pollution from their factories pollutes not only the water, air, & land of the unworthy peasants but the air that their children & grandchildren breathe, the water their loved ones drink, bathe, & swim in, the land and food that they eat. If only the power elite could grasp the fact that the more you drive people into poverty & despair, the more desperate they become, the more dangerous cities become and they, the superior and privileged, will have to live out their lives in gated communities with armed guards. Is that the life that anyone would wish to live? Does a life that requires bullet proof cars and the constant accompaniment of armed guards wherever you go, sound appealing to you? Humanity is one big, living, vibrant organism that is mutually dependent for nourishment. We need all the diversity of our species for our personal growth and evolution to a higher level of spirituality. This endless web or vicious circle of deceit, aggression, & destruction makes all our realities ugly and is so unnecessary and stupid! Call me a naïve, idealistic fool, doesn’t bother me in the least because I know to the marrow of my bones, I am right. As the Native Americans tried to teach us, we do not and cannot own the land, the skies, and the waters. We are but stewards of the blessings of this world and you who think you’re so superior are in fact the most ignorant amongst us because you can’t seem to comprehend this simple truth. You may believe you’re masters of the universe but as you watch your children die from the pollution of your factories or the anger of the mobs, etc., you will pay for your inhumanity. You may think you’re powerful but your money won’t protect you from the wrath of Mother Earth who will bring down all your castles, banks, & skyscrapers with her force. Keep on doing what you do and sooner or later, Mother Nature is going to slap you down and after your physical body has died, you will continue to pay for your crimes against humanity with the torment of your soul/spirit throughout eternity. So, yeah, continue strutting the world stage with that Cheshire cat smirk but I know you won’t be smirking long.

Addendum
I have noticed over the years that there is far more honor, truth, & compassion among the poor than the middle class. And there is a Grand Canyon of difference in terms of these qualities between the poor and the rich. It never ceases to amaze me at how generous, kind, & trusting the poor are, especially the so-called “illegal immigrants.”

Hi Raquel, sorry but I don’t have a newsletter service. Maybe I can figure that out in the future but right now, trying to keep up with the comments and still write is getting to be a full-time job. Thanks so much for your positive feedback, it’s what keeps me going.
